Tapping Into My Power (Literally)
A Love Letter to "You Have The Magic" by Haley Hoffman Smith
"You've always had the power, my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself."
— Glinda the Good Witch, The Wizard of Oz
When Haley Hoffman Smith announced she was writing a book, I started a countdown to launch day like it was my personal New Year’s Eve. I prayed for a book tour—and the universe, in its divine timing, delivered. Her NYC stop at Strand Bookstore felt like a sign for me as an aspiring author of Penny’s From Heaven—a moment of magic, like finding a piece of driftwood to cling to in the vast ocean of my dreams.
Haley’s book, You Have the Magic, is a soulful and transformative guide that empowers readers to do what Glinda reminds Dorothy of: realize the power that’s already within. Haley, a subconscious breakthrough coach, content creator, and founder of the Dreamaway community, is known for her work in mindset, manifestation, and spirituality. Through her powerful EFT tapping method (where she taps on four meridian points, more on that in a bit), she’s helped thousands rewire their minds and unlock emotional and energetic freedom. I have been one of the lucky ones among them.
This book is more than just a read. It’s an awakening! Even though I’ve been tapping since I was 19 years old, You Have the Magic opened my eyes to an entirely new depth of understanding. For starers, just learning what meridian point corresponds to in the body was incredible. I found myself mentally highlighting entire sections about the mind-body connection. In standard EFT tapping, we typically use points like the top of the head, eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, and side of the wrist. But in Haley’s streamlined Fast EFT process, she focuses on the front of the eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, collarbones, and ends with a gentle squeeze of the wrist.

Learning the why behind each point made the process even more powerful. For example, the front of the eyebrow is linked to the bladder meridian, associated with deep emotional distress and our fight-or-flight response. The side of the eye connects to the gallbladder and liver meridians—organs said in Chinese medicine to store frustration, anger, and indecision. As Haley writes, “These organs in our body are thought to hold irritation, anger, resentment, frustration, rigidity, and indecisiveness.” No wonder she encourages us to vent while tapping here—even her signature “UGHHH!” feels oddly hopeful and cathartic. Under the eye corresponds to the stomach, which makes perfect sense—how often have we felt that pit in our stomach when worried? Now, when I feel that familiar flutter of nerves, I will actually look forward to tapping on this point, watching the anxiety “dissolve, disappear, and fade away,” as Haley so gently says. But what truly blew my mind (and had me texting Haley a string of jaw-dropped emojis) was learning that the collarbone point ties to the kidneys and sometimes the stomach—both deeply linked to emotional regulation and feelings of peace. I’ve always instinctively tapped on my collarbone during anxious moments in public—subtly, discreetly—and now I know why it worked so well. It wasn’t just soothing. It was science. Magic and medicine, wrapped up in one.
Haley breaks down the subconscious breakthrough formula with clarity and heart, making profound concepts feel accessible. She shows how the patterns we carry—often from childhood or buried belief systems—can be shifted. You Have the Magic is a toolkit for inner alchemy. Her EFT tapping techniques are game changers, helping to form new, healthier neural pathways. I’ve felt this shift myself and I’m always so surprised when they occur.
What moved me most, though, is Haley’s reminder to trust the timing of your life. That, even when things feel delayed or uncertain, we are—like Dorothy—always right on time. The lessons, the breakthroughs, the magic—they unfold exactly when we’re ready. This isn’t just a comforting idea—it’s something I’ve felt on a soul level through Haley’s work. I’ve returned to her Slingshot Session: Letting Go of the How from her Surrender Series more times than I can count, especially in seasons of uncertainty when I needed to remember that I don’t have to control every step—just stay aligned and trust. Her Dreamaway 90-minute breakout session Right On Time cracked something open in me. It reminded me that even when life seems off-course or stuck, it's actually unfolding in divine precision. I’ve cried, tapped, laughed, and let go with her guidance, and each time I do, I return to myself with more peace and presence. Haley doesn’t just talk about trusting the timing—she gives you the tools to feel it, embody it, and live it.
Haley is not just an incredible coach and author—she’s a friend who has helped me through blocks I never thought I could move past. To see her shine so brightly and offer her wisdom to the world in this book fills me with pride.

If you're on a journey of transformation—if you feel there’s more waiting for you, just beyond the curtain of your own subconscious—I can't recommend You Have the Magic enough. And if you want to experience the magic that is Haley Hoffman Smith, I encourage you to get a taste of her coaching by joining Dreamaway.
Because, as Haley emphasizes in her book, you do have the magic. You always have.
In honor of Haley—my favorite gluten-free tapping queen—I'm sharing a Gluten Free Pasta Dough recipe that will be featured in my pasta guides this summer. Just as Haley’s helped me nourish my spirit through her tapping scripts and wisdom, I hope this gluten-free pasta recipe nourishes her and my readers in return. Consider it a plateful of magic, made with love, trust, and intention. I do have the “magic spaghetti” after all! Haley singing at my wedding in Italy? If that’s not a manifestation moment waiting to happen, I don’t know what is.
Ingredients:
100 grams or 1/2 cup Gluten Free Flour
Rice Flour for Dusting
1 large egg
¼ teaspoon table salt
Water, if needed
Instructions:
Mix the Gluten Free flour and salt together then pour on a clean surface. Using your hand, create a well within the flour pile.
Add the egg in the middle of the well and break the egg with a fork, gradually incorporating the flour into the egg. If the dough looks dry, gradually add a little water until the dough come together.
Once the ingredients are incorporated, begin by kneading the dough with your hands. If the dough becomes too sticky, dust with a little rice flour. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes and form into a ball. Press the dough flat & wrap up the dough in plastic wrap. Let it relax in the refrigerator for a half hour. The resting period is for the dough to hydrate so it is easier to work with.
Once the pasta dough has rested, you can roll it out. Lightly dust a work surface with Brown Rice flour. Position the disk of dough on the floured surface. With your rolling pin on the middle of the disk, work from the middle outward, pushing the rolling pin over the dough. Return to the middle of the dough with each movement.
Give the dough a half-turn and repeat until the dough is nearly transparent. Your pasta sheet is ready when you see the shadow of your hand behind the dough.
Starting with the short end of the sheet, fold the pasta at two-inch intervals until you have a flat rectangular roll. With a sharp chef’s knife, slice crossway to cut long strips.
Fettuccine: Cut ¼ inch thick.
Linguine: Cut ⅛ inch thick.
Tagliatelle: Cut ⅜ inch thick.
Pappardelle: Cut ¾- 1 inch thick.
